HOW IT STARTED
I started as a trainee at a Greater Manchester accountancy practice at 18 and completed my final ACA exams at 22, passing first time.
I was offered a partnership, but chose to take a different path. Three years later I established Mark Wolfe & Co, building the practice alongside my own business ventures.
PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE
Advice shaped by running businesses, not just reporting on them.
Alongside the practice, I’ve started, grown and sold several businesses. That first‑hand experience shapes the practical, commercially grounded advice I give clients today.
I understand cash flow pressures, difficult decisions, growth pains and the difference between advice that is technically correct and advice that is genuinely useful to a business owner.
HOW I WORK

I enjoy working closely with owner-managed businesses: understanding what the owner is trying to achieve, spotting issues early and finding sensible solutions. Clients deal directly with me throughout, so advice stays joined up across accounts, tax and the decisions behind the numbers.

AWAY FROM THE DESK
Family, the Lakes and life outdoors.
I moved to the Lake District with my family in 2019. It felt like the right move while our two boys were still young, and it gave us the outdoor life we wanted.
Outside work, I’m happiest doing something active — climbing mountains, training in the gym, mountain biking or paddleboarding. Home life is shared with my wife, our two sons and Maximus, our Dobermann.
